CHECKED BAGGAGE
Each passenger is allowed two checked items to a maximum weight of 70 lbs (32 kg) that are to be transported in the vessel's cargo hold. Additional charges will apply for overweight or fragile items.
Please make sure checked baggage is properly packed and secure before turning it over to your Horizon flight's designated cargo agent prior to departure.
CARRY-ON ITEMS
Carry-on items are limited to 1 per passenger and should be stored in the provided bins next to your sleeping pods. Please refer to the dimension and weight restrictions to the right if you are unsure if your item meets Horizon's carry-on guidelines. If you are still unsure if your carry-on item will be accepted, feel free to contact a Horizon agent via the website contact form.
LIVE ANIMALS & PETS
Live animals or personal pets must be registered at the time of booking. Domesticated animals and pets under 30 lbs (13.6 kg) can travel in the cabin with their owner, but must remain in their carrier at all times. Pets above this weight, to a maximum of 200 lbs (90.7 kg) must be checked in an appropriate carrier along with your other checked baggage. All other animals must be shipped via Horizon Shipping.
CHARTERED FLIGHTS
If you are flying on one of Horizon's private charters, the above restrictions do not apply. Chartered flights allow passengers to check or carry-on as many items as the vessel's weight restriction allows.
You will be provided with specific guidelines based on your charter vessel at the time of booking.
LUGGAGE SCREENING & LOCKED BAGS
For your security, all luggage must be screened and cleared in order to be permitted to travel. In some cases, bags may have to be opened and searched. If you choose to lock your bag, it is recommended that you use a lock which can be opened by Horizon Security Agents. You may use other means of locking your bags; however, it is with the understanding that the screening process may result in damage to the lock or bag itself, and could cause delays with your baggage. All luggage contents must comply with the list of restricted and prohibited items below.

Depth: 15 inches (38.1cm) and to a maximum of 33.1 lbs (15 kg)
RESTRICTED & PROHIBITED ITEMS
TOOLS & SHARP OBJECTS
Sharp, bladed or blunt instruments which are capable of being used to cause serious injury are not permitted in carry-on luggage. This includes loose razor blades, knives and scissors with blades of more than 6cm, drills, screwdrivers, chisels, saws, clubs, bats and bars.
CHEMICALS / BIOHAZARDOUS MATERIALS
Chemicals and biohazardous materials with the exception of medication are prohibited aboard all Horizon flights. Medication being transported must be placed in carry-on luggage and accompanied by a prescription from a recognized physician. Organic materials of any kind must be shipped separately via Horizon Shipping services.
PERSONAL SHIELDS / TELEPORTATION
Personal sheilds and teleportation devices are not only unnecessary, but they are prohibited in all carry-on luggage. Any personal devices that can be used to resist the requests of Horizon flight marshals must be placed in checked baggage only.
PERSONAL FIREARMS
Personal firearms, including but not limited to; rays, lasers, and ballistics must be unloaded, declared and placed in checked luggage only. Firearm parts, including magazines, clips, bolts and firing pins, are prohibited in carry-on baggage, but may be transported in checked baggage. This category includes toys, replicas and any attachments.
NETWORK CAPABLE DEVICES
Devices capable of accessing or interfering with ships systems are prohibited in carry-on luggage. All personal communication devices, scanning equipment or illegal hacking instruments must be deactivated and placed in your checked baggage.
FLAMMABLE / EXPLOSIVES
Flammable substances such as harmful gases, liquids, solids, or any type of fuel is prohibited. Furthermore, explosive devices, fireworks, flares, lighters, or replicas of the sort are banned and strictly enforced if found on board. Any item catagorized as flammable or explosive must be shipped separately via Horizon Shipping services.
